The ASCE Student Chapter at Fairleigh Dickinson University, founded in 2007 has the mission to expose members to real-life challenges of engineering. We allow members to mature to their professional status by providing support, supplement educational programs and developed professional autonomy.

Yunior is a senior undergraduate student pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering Technology. Serving as Vice-president last year, and being a member of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, John has taken all the motivation and commitment to take this student chapter to the next level.

Jaime has been involved with the ASCE since his freshman year. His contribution as our SGA representative has given our Student Chapter the ability to connect more with non-engineering clubs. Now as Vice President, he will continue his mission to integrate non-engineers to ASCE activities to increase awareness about the importance of engineering in our day to day basis.

Najir interest on FDU's engineering program started back in 2016 when he participated on the Technical Enrichment & Outreach Program (T.E.O.P). Now he is taking the role of secretary of the ASCE to gain experience to one day take the lead as a Steel Bridge Captain.
Immanuel (Many) has been an excellent member since his freshman year. During the past years his dedication to the chapter and experience on budgeting/finances placed him on the position of treasurer. Matthew is also a senior undergraduate perusing a degree in Civil Engineering Technology.

Angelina, along with the president, is the face of the student chapter. He has taken the name of the student chapter from the shadows.
The Public Relation officer is in charge of distributing the information to the public either through career fairs or social media.
Dr. Vahid Alizadeh

Completed his Ph. D. in Civil and Environmental Engineering at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He specializes in Geo-technical engineering, and his published works focus on sustainable utilization of by-product fly ash in bridge abutments for rapid construction.
He also serves as the faculty member of FDU’s longstanding Technical Enrichment and Outreach Program (T.E.O.P.) which provides educational opportunities to minority and economically disadvantaged area high school students with an interest in STEM fields.
Assistant Professor of Civil and Construction Engineering Technology, earned her PhD. from Graduate Center of the City University of New York.
Her professional experience includes design of concrete structures as well as modeling ground surface water and designing facilities for flood control. Dr. Azar is the faculty advisor for the Mechanical Contractors Association of America (MCAA) and American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Student Steel Bridge chapters.
